Snooki & amp; Jwoww (sometimes translated Snooki & amp; JWOWW in print and online sources) is an American reality television series on MTV starring Snooki and JWoww. This is the second of three spin-offs of the Jersey Shore, where both Polizzi and Farley previously gained fame as a member of the cast. The series runs from June 21, 2012 to February 4, 2015 for four seasons. This series, which is an executive produced by Jersey Shore producer SallyAnn Salsano of 495 Productions, is described by its stars as modern-day Laverne & amp; Shirley .
The first season focuses on Polizzi and Farley living together in a former firefighter in Jersey City, New Jersey, although Polizzi's pregnancy, confirmed during the first season's filming, caused a change of content and episode tones that kept her away from party-oriented antics from her parent show. Filming starts in the first season of February 25, 2012, and lasts five weeks. The second season was confirmed on 3 August 2012, and aired on January 8, 2013. The series was first announced by MTV on April 7, 2011, as one of two Jersey Shore spinoffs, where both Polizzi and Farley previously gained fame as cast members, with other spin-offs focused on castmate they. , Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio. Production initially attempted to film in Hoboken, New Jersey, but was denied permission. The invitation to the crew for filming in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania was later canceled by the Central Pennsylvania Film Office after a public outcry. Finally the former firefighter at 38 Mercer Street in Grove Street in Jersey City, New Jersey was chosen as the filming location. The property is guarded at all times by at least four Jersey City police officers, who also follow the cast and crew when leaving home, a condition requiring producers to agree to be given shooting permission. This condition also indicates that the police will take action, including the cast, if any state or city laws are damaged, and that the producer will replace the city for any increase in police presence or similar fees that may have occurred due to events related to production.
Before filming, several businesses in the area, including Skinner's Loft bars, Barcade and LITM, denied the filming permission for MTV, reported by The Jersey Journal because of their need to make their regular customers a priority.. In addition, the "No Snooki" sign was pinned to the window of a liquor store around the corner from the fire house, which the manager generally declared that one of the two women would be denied if they attempted to undermine that stance. MTV announced that the series was updated for the second season on August 3, 2012. 495 Productions attempted to film a film in Morristown, New Jersey, describing the diverse reactions of fans and politicians, with Council President Michelle Dupree-Harris saying that the event would be good for business , and Governor Chris Christie joked that the two stars, actually from New York, had to go back there. The series has been released on iTunes, and on DVD. Season 1 was released only through Amazon.com on October 4, 2012. Season 2 was released May 6, 2013. Season 3 was released November 14, 2014.
