Tricolore by Adidas is the official match ball of the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France. The tricolor and cockerel flags, traditional French symbols are used as inspiration for design. This is the first multi-colored ball used in the final stage of the tournament and is also the final ball of the World Cup to give birth to the classic Tango design, which was introduced in the 1978 tournament. The design of the blue triads adorned with coke motifs was adopted to represent the colors of the French flag. Tricolore is also the first Adidas World Cup match ball produced outside Europe (made in Morocco & Indonesia) since 1970 Adidas Telstar. "Tricolore" means "three colors" in French.
