The Savoy Homann Bidakara Hotel is a luxurious four-star luxury hotel located on Jalan Asia Afrika, Bandung, Indonesia. Built in 1939 replacing the 19th century Homann Hotel . Designed by Dutch architect Albert Aalbers, the hotel features an art deco interior and interior, and historic furnishings. This is the architectural legacy and a fine example of the art deco colonial architecture in the Dutch East Indies.

Histori
After the opening of the Great Pos Road in 1810, many colonial money plantations were established in the Preanger area. During the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century, Bandung has become a popular business, shopping and recreation destination for wealthy planters, especially on weekends. As a result, the hotel business is blooming in the city. The predecessor of this hotel, Homann Hotel was built in 1871-72, owned and run by the Homann family. The place was famous for Mrs. Rijsttafel. The homannas were delicious. The first small building was designed in Gothic-Romantic style. In 1939, the hotel was rebuilt with a curved art deco style, designed by architect Albert Aalbers. To emphasize its grandeur and opulence, the name "Savoy" was added in the 1940s, which remained unchanged until the 1980s. Some of his celebrity guests during the Dutch East Indies era were Charlie Chaplin and Mary Pickford.
During the Japanese occupation of World War II (1942-45), the hotel served as a luxury barracks for the Japanese army. In 1955, when the first Asian-African Conference was held in Bandung, Savoy Homann hosted VVIP guests and became part of the Historical Walk. Some of the guests were Soekarno, Ho Chi Minh, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, U Nu, Zhou Enlai, Gamal Abdul Nasser, and Tito.
In the 1990s the hotel was renovated and new wings were added. Today the hotel was purchased under the management of the Bidakara Group, so its name was changed to Savoy Homann Bidakara Hotel.

Building
The hotel has three wings: Tower Wing, Garden Wing, and Millennium Wing. It has a total of 185 guest rooms: 126 Deluxe Rooms, 41 Executive Rooms, 15 Junior Suite Rooms and 3 Homann Suites. Some with balconies, many with original stained glass and other art deco features. One room has its own fireplace, antique furniture is being used all year round. The Grand Ballroom is a spacious functional room with a capacity of 1,000 guests. There are 14 different room dimensions to accommodate different meeting sizes or meetings.
The 150-seat The Garden Restaurant provides Indonesian and European cuisine as well as Asian favorites. This restaurant is located in an atrium in the center of the hotel, originally designed as an open garden restaurant. Batavia Bar & amp; The lounge has a lounge located in front of the hotel with a view of Bandung's main street. Sidewalk Cafe is located on the ground floor in a curved section of the building.
The hotel features a swimming pool, a small children's pool, fitness center and Spa, and a Children's Games Room.
