Worst Handyman Ever - How NOT To Build A Deck - YouTube
src: i.ytimg.com

Canada's Worst Handyman 3 is the Canadian television series 2008, broadcast on Discovery Channel Canada. This is the third season of the series of Canada's Worst Handyman, a series in which five contestants arrive at the Handyman Rehabilitation Center, where contestants can improve their skilled craftsmanship with the help of expert guidance. The most unfavorable among the contestants was given a dubious title at the end of the series.

Unlike the first season with the apartment renovation and the second season with the warehouse building, the third season will focus on commercial design and renovation, as the Handyman Rehabilitation Center this season will be located in a centuries old house in Hamilton, Ontario, where the contestants will be on duty renovated one room, as well as a communal kitchen, and turned the Handyman Rehabilitation Center into a functional bed and breakfast. The filming location was purchased by the production company, and sold at the end of the series.

Since the warehouse is absent from this season completely (the first season has used the warehouse as the center of their group challenge), the entire opening sequence has been renovated for this season. Producers of the series claim that 300 apps have been accepted for this season.

Contestant

  • Joe "The Bullet" Barbaro , a bodybuilder from Barrie, Ontario was nominated by his sister Rita Barbaro , who felt that, even though she was physically intimidating at gym, he is psychologically intimidated by hard work.

  • Desmond "Dez" Nanassy , a recently unemployed lab technician from Woodstock, Ontario, is an ambitious do-yourselfer. Unfortunately for Jennie Grevers' wife and nominee, the fact that nothing finishes poses a threat to the safety of children, her favorite Holland and favorite Malory are both in their childcare business.
  • Terry "Tex" Neves , seasonal worker from Apple River, Nova Scotia, nominated by the wife of Tara Neves , who wants to make sure that their $ 16,000 savings for renovations are spent with wise. Tex has a tendency to recycle almost everything; old projects are often dismantled for supplies to new ones.
  • Casey Vinet , a police officer from Abbotsford, British Columbia is inexperienced with electrical equipment, which makes him a joke-related joke at the police station. She was nominated by Marnie Vinet's wife.

    Judge

Two new judges have been filed for this season:

    • Jo Alcorn , an interior designer, and a former contestant during the fourth season of Designer Superstar Challenge . He has international experience for his credit, after studying in New York City and traveling the world to study architecture and design.
    • Geoff Woodmansey , a contractor with more than 25 years of residential building experience, has worked in some of Toronto's most exclusive neighborhoods. He is also the host of the Discovery Channel Junk Raiders

In the change from the previous season, experts will also do each and every challenge on their own in a room on the second floor of the Handyman Rehabilitation Center, in conditions identical to the contestants, often before the contestants take on their own challenges (so they can observe the contestants during the challenge , or for the purpose of demonstrating challenges to contestants).

    Episode 1: Demolition Derby

    Genuine update: May 5, 2008

    • Entering the Room : Arriving at the Handyman Rehabilitation Center, the contestants are randomly selected rooms. Tex in the green room, Joe in yellow, Dez in blue, Charmaine in orange, and Casey in pink. Upon entering the locked door to their room, they had to build an eight-foot stud wall, which would be used to frame the closet. Tex is the only one who graduated, thanks to "Tara's Putty", a mixture of sawdust and glue used to fill the gap where it falls short. Charmaine, the last one to go into their room, out of frustration with the key (using a Phillips-head screwdriver to unlock the Robertson screw), fails because it confuses 8'0 "to 80" and gives up after realization. Joe (who uses violence to disassemble the key) and Dez (who uses his drill to release the screw that holds the key), and Casey is all programmed, forgetting that the top and bottom plates are counted as part of eight legs, thus building the stud wall too long, even though Joe is the only one who fixes it after failing to face the challenge.
    • Home Challenges : Before entering rehab, contestants must build a three-dimensional object of at least 40 cm that can support their own weight. Although all but Casey chose the box (Casey chose instead to have a platform on four "teepees"), Tex is the only one whose box survives, especially since he has built six sides for four others. Casey has failed twice on his platform.
    • Wall Safes : The contestants were introduced to the jury, who taught them how to install a safe on the wall by placing two buttons and cutting off the wall between them. Dez and Casey, had the same wall, picked the same spot, and Casey was forced to move, but not accidentally hitting Dez in a helmet with a hammer. Both and Tex (which do not use the stud searchers at all) ultimately fail because the cut is too large from the vertical hole (though they are softer on Casey). Joe also moved, did not know how to use the stud finder and left his first choice location. However, he finally managed to hold his power with a hammer (but his safe was not secured with screws). Charmaine succumbed to the safe on the wall.
    • Group Challenge: Demolition : After a short lesson on electricity and plumbing, the group has to destroy the old bathroom to turn it into a space for their kitchen. Joe, over-zealous with a sledgehammer, managed to stir up Geoff's anger as he lowered the metal-studded ceiling, which gave him quick lessons about salvation. Meanwhile, Tex was assigned to cut off the power lines and pipes, and shut it down. When Joe dumped the trash, Casey took over with a hammer, and managed to knock down part of the common wall between the common area and the Tex room. Though Tex does his job admirably (although his piping needs to be handled twice), the lack of communication between Tex and the others means that he has to repeat back and forth between basements and common areas to get things done. li>

At the end of the day, which includes designing their future spatial plan - Joe and his "Space Without a Mercy", Charmaine and the "Serenity Room", Dez with "Tropical Paradise Room", Tex with "Pinup Room", and Casey with "Chocolate and Vanilla Room "- the judge gave their verdict: Tex, in a group challenge, has left his tool in disarray, although he is considered the most upgraded by Jo due to his challenge job (and has done the hardest part of the group challenge alone). The quick lessons from Geoff had an impact on Joe, whom he nominated for the best improvements to improve his own safety as group challenges evolved, and returned and improved the challenges that failed. As for the worst, Casey and Charmaine make a short list. In the end, Joe won the "golden helmet" for being the best, while Casey was nominated for being the worst for destroying three walls (his own, Dez's and Tex) in the episode. In his extra lesson, he had to get rid of the sewage from the sewer which was part of the old toilet in the common area, a job he hated.

    Episode 2: Completely Equipped

    Genuine update: May 12, 2008

    • Workbenches : Four out of five contestants have no work desk at home, and the fifth, Dez, has destroyed it during the box challenge. Thus, the contestants must build their own stools. Dez, Joe, and Casey use chipboard rather than plywood for their superiors, and all fail because the tabletop does not become solid as a result. Charmaine is not finished, while Tex, using a pine board for the top, is the only thing to go.
    • Interview : Wanting to know the experiences of the contestants, Andrew personally asked the contestants if they had done ten things that every craftsman should know before rehab. Charmaine and Tex have the most (8 and 7, respectively), while Joe is down, only doing one (unloading).
    • Plastic Wrap : Contestants must close their windows in plastic wrap. For Tex, this is all too familiar, for he has done this to his own house (wood burning) and cuts the cost of heating his house to half (from five ropes per year to two and a half), and he easily escapes. Dez (despite problems with double-sided tape) and Joe also passes the challenge, while Charmaine (who also does this in his own home) fails to have dust all over his plastic. Casey failed because the plastic seal was not tight.
    • Drywall : Each room has a hole in the wall, and in this challenge, the contestants have to fix it (Tex has two because part of the wall is demolished in the group demo, but only necessary for patching one). Charmaine is the first to finish, and passes, while the rest fails for different reasons: Tex and Dez have too much water in their plaster mix (Tex's cast takes forever to dry and Dez makes it so thin that the plaster can not be applied at all), Casey not trimming holes to size, while Joe caught the hammering screw again (and thus failed to secure the patch to the wall).
    • Group Challenge: The Wine Rack : After approving the kitchen design (including questionable decisions such as using floor tiles for counter) and while the nominees paint their rooms (Joe's red and Tex in yellow, Casey has her wallpapered room), the contestants have to build furniture for the kitchen. Joe, as the foreman, chooses a wine rack, but miscommunication between him and his two teams (Dez and Charmaine on the frame, while Casey and Tex deal with square shelves). Joe's frustration kicked, and when Dez spoke behind his back (about how Joe got his hands off), Joe drove him out of the area. The project itself is a failure because the cubbyholes are too big (and do not have back support), the failure that Joe is ready to take one on the chin.

In the end, the verdict has already entered. Charmaine received special praise for her desk, which she completed the day after the challenge. Although Geoff knocked out Tex's large workbench and Jo was offended by Tex's choice of a nude mermaid mural in his room, Tex was unanimously named for being the most upgraded for his skills. Andrew and Geoff are divided over who is worse: Joe for failing to lead (and having a devastating challenge, including his crumbling desk during the evaluation) or Casey for letting Marnie do most of the gruntwork (and in tests to see if his desk picks up, he solve the hole in it's own) and the fact that the carpenter in the group's challenge (he has cut all the wood) is most vulnerable. In the end, the bullet was shot down, and given the worst name. As an additional job, Andrew forced him to make up with Dez, as they had to work together several more times.

    Episode 3: Shower Stalling

    Genuine update: May 19, 2008

    • The Shower : The contestants have to take out the sink in their room and install the shower stalls using the prefab shower kits. Tex is given more time because he has not completely repaired the hole in his wall caused by Casey in the first episode, a coincidence where he plans to have his stall. Furthermore, it (in planning to tap the supply of a kitchen rather than using an existing one) found that it had not properly sealed its copper pipe from the first episode (not applying flux to both ends of the pipe), and went to fix the error. Based on the work he had to do, he stopped. Joe also stopped because of lack of progress. Charmaine also paused, having trouble with soldering. Dez accidentally melted the plastic faucet connector, but thanks to Geoff's suggestion, managed to rescue his plumbing. He and Casey are both finished, but whether they leak is another matter. The next day, because Tex, Joe, and Charmaine stopped (Tex did not even open the toiletry box), they failed the leak test. Casey and Dez had leaky pipes, so both failed.
    • The Shelving : Contestants, once taught how to use routers to cut dado on their wood, have to emulate prototype shelves using pine boards. Casey failed after mismeasuring, while Charmaine's, Tex's, and Joe's shelves failed because of the sloping shelves down. Dez has a weak shelf, but after some problems with how to assemble the parts, he passes by.
    • Group Challenge: Drywall and Floor : After a professional crew puts up a kitchen subfloor and drywall, the contestant, led by Tex, who is given a private lesson on drywalling and flooring by Geoff, is installing a tongue- in-groove drywall and other kitchen walls. Charmaine and Joe had to do drywall, while Casey and Dez put up the floor. Tex constantly had to stop Dez and Casey from installing upside and backsides (ie tongues), while Charmaine and Joe installed drywall vertically instead of horizontally, leading to structural weakness. Casey and Dez only manage a few floors, while Charmaine and Joe do not manage to finish plastering.

In the last inspection, Tex admits defeat as he rushes past all challenges, while Casey's shower receives criticism because the back is 10 inches from the wall and one joint is pasted rather than soldered together. The experts agreed to choose Dez as the best to bathe (though failed, still better than others, plus the restorations also impressed on Geoff). Tex is called the worst because it does not solve one of the challenges, though Jo has nominated The Bullet (who, like Charmaine, has finally managed to finish the bath) due to his lack of progress. As part of Tex's additional lessons, she was forced to return the unopened toiletries (since she could no longer install the bathroom because she had closed the wall area).

    Episode 4: Close Your Holes

    Genuine update: May 26, 2008

    • Hole in the Floor - in every room there is a hole in the floor, which must be attached by the contestants. Dez, calling this the easiest challenge, easily finished and passed, thanks to two layers of floor (so he just needs to take one layer and patch the other one). Tex also escapes after some initial mismeasuring problems (cutting holes larger than necessary). Casey's hole was at the bottom of her unfinished subfloor, and the simple work of covering up the remaining parts made her suspicious. Even so, he still escapes. Joe and Charmaine failed because of mismeasuring - Joe cut the patch too small, and Charmaine did not quite expose one of the beams so the patch could be secured.
    • Mirror - Each participant must hang four IKEA mirrors. Dez, put a mirror on the curved wall (which he and Jennie noticed), left the mounting hardware included with the mirror and selected the picture hanger. Although the mirror has a funhouse effect (more because of the wall), it is the first to complete, and passes. Tex also goes through some minor installation issues. Casey also easily bypassed a lot of help from Marnie. Charmaine can only finish one within 90 minutes.
    • Radiator Box - Contestants must make a radiator box to cover the radiator (three sides must be partially or completely latticed). Charmaine was the first to finish, and escaped, thanks to a hasty build (only admitted after the fact that he got in without a plan). Tex failed because his side was more dense than the lattice. Joe (who was persuaded to do all that solid) also failed for the same reason. Casey gives up, while Dez passes a long battle with design.
    • Group Challenge - The Cabinets - Dez must lead the group to finish the floor and install the top eight cabinets. After everyone assembles a box, Casey and Joe are assigned to finish the floor, while Dez let Tex and Charmaine take over the brackets. Joe and Dez run to the door swinging out Tex as they finish the floor (which they address by knocking down the Tex door), while Tex and Charmaine manage to install eight cabinets, but without securing the cabinets to each other or installing the door cabinet. In the end, Dez admits defeat.

At the last evaluation, Jo commented that the Tex mirror was not level and the radiator cover was too much, while Casey was proud of the mirror without realizing the wall behind it was partially covered in the wallpaper. Jo gives special praise to Dez for thinking outside the box for a mirror. Casey was crowned the best to get out of his shell in the episode (though Dez did a better job overall) while Joe was called the worst (at Jo's insistence; Geoff had tried to name Charmaine for failing to face more challenges). Joe's extra lesson is to unpack the radiator cover.

    Episode 5: Light-Weight

    Genuine update: June 2, 2008

    • Closet - The contestants, using their stud walls from day one to build their cabinets. Jo will help Charmaine for this challenge, because Tiina feels ill, and with the help of an expert, she finishes amazingly (without the nails involved in construction). While Casey uses medium density fiberboard for their cabinet exterior (cutting the floor while doing it), others use light veneer. Dez's extraordinary dependence on brackets made him mitiasure and fail, while Joe's wardrobe was too wide to accommodate the curtain rod. Casey's cabinet also failed to make the cabinets too narrow (although Marnie managed to build curtain rods from dowelling and pipe parts). Tex, though heavily condemned, managed to get through the challenge, creating a cabinet that could contain almost all the other contestants and nominees inside.
    • Sconces Wall - Contestants must install wall sconces that use halogen lights and stick-on cables (designed to stick to walls and hide behind plaster layers). This package also comes with written instructions (used by Tex) and instructions on DVD (for everyone else). Tex intends to hang his light in his rearview mirror, but his outlet is dead and he has to install a wire under his mirror and over his licenses. Reluctantly, he stirred his light, but he made it through a lot of effort (and misme measure wire three times). Dez graduated, though the cord needed a large cover because the walls were covered with textured plaster, while Charmaine needed Jennie and Tiina's help in installing light bulbs to pass through. Casey failed after hanging the doll upside down. Joe cut the ground pin into the light, and hooked the cord back. He also refuses to screw in the bulb (get Rita and Dez to screw for him), due to his fear of electricity. Predictably, he failed.
    • Curtains - Probably the most misunderstood power tool is a sewing machine. In this challenge, while the nominees do further decoration (Jennie is shocked twice while putting up wallpaper around the electrical outlet, while Rita has a mute-free magazine in her sister's room), the contestants have to sew their curtains. Charmaine is no stranger to sewing, easily bypassing challenges and helping others in sewing their curtains while making their own. After Casey succumbed to sewing (after being caught sewing without thread), Marnie used an iron strip as an alternative to sewing. The end result was Casey's curtain rising, but he failed the challenge. Tex failed because his mistake made his curtain short, while Joe also failed after frustration. Dez also failed in this challenge (after his cloth was caught on the sewing machine many times), and for the second time in two days, wondering if he was the worst again for the episode.
    • Group Challenge - Floor Counter Tiles - Casey leads others to install their counter made of floor tiles (which the group has planned since the second group challenge). However, Casey jumps the gun, and proceeds to get Tex and Charmaine tiles before sinking or stove holes cut by Dez. Joe reasoned himself out of this challenge entirely, believing that it was a "women's job". In the end, Charmaine battled against the clock in an attempt to prevent the mortar from setting, while the sinkhole was modeled because the cardboard temple that came with the torn sink became halfway when the sink was being opened.

In the results of the experts, Joe admits defeat (the curtain rod is a piece of wood that is easily torn by Geoff), while Dez also recognizes the failure (save the lamp). Tex's criticism comes largely from his curtains, though he receives praise for his large closet (complete with wooden shutters and portraits covering his secure wall inside), while Charmaine also receives praise for his closet curtains harmonizing with the cabinet with expert help.

Experts agree that Joe is the worst (Jo claims that he has retreated), but Andrew makes a case for Casey because Marnie does all the challenges, and he personally begs Casey to read thinset mortar instructions for an entire hour during the group challenge (before Charmaine mix it yourself). The most obvious award given to Charmaine for his work. Joe was the first contestant to be called the worst three times (and twice in a row), and his remedial job was to clear the curtains of others.

    Episode 6: Without Grout

    Genuine update: June 9, 2008

    • Table - Contestants should create a dining table with their own design. The Charmaine table consists of mosaic tiles and recycled photo frames. However, because the tile mosaic was done incorrectly, he failed. Casey easily fails, in part because of dismantling the existing table and then holding the table (just to clutter the coloring as done incorrectly). Dez, originally wanted a 48 inch tall table, settles on a table mounted to its wallpapered wall of features. Poor choice of paint, and put a table to the wall, making the net fail. Joe started the day by researching his designs on the computer, and was rewarded despite accidentally drilling the top of the table at his feet (opting to use a tablecloth to cover the hole). The Tex table is a folding table on the wall under the pinup of his bare mermaid, with a folding leg. However, the plan is too ambitious, and the resulting table is too thin, getting a failure.
    • The Headboard - After being taught how to do a headboard, complete with buttons, the contestants have to create one for their room. Tex, Dez, and Charmaine avoid the foam headrests taught for wooden planks. Joe fails because he has no button (which will cause the cloth to wither). Casey also failed because his headboard did not have wood support (the wood just stunned on). The surfboard head Dez failed also because of the lack of padding (think it was not necessary), and some sharp edges. Simple Tex cords and wooden heads fail because they put their heads over the wall candle plug, eliminating the ability to pull out the light. The ambitious Charmaine "musical sign" header also failed when he ran out of time.
    • Group Challenge: Girls Night Out - Charmaine is disappointed when he is named best (does not want to lead the group challenge), which makes him responsible for installing backsplash and compacting counters. Charmaine decides to boot all the men out (called "brave gestures" by the experts), and tells the men to clean his room (and Tex, who is late for the challenge, to design the placemats) while he's the task of the nominees with the group challenge. Charmaine proved to be a competent leader, planning tasks thoroughly, delegating well, and passing group challenges. However, Tex and Joe, feeling shunned, are planning their revenge.
    • Group Challenge: Plumbing - Tex before, in the previous group challenge, removes the drain and drains it, and Charmaine assigns it to connect the pipe, while the other three are assigned to install cabinets. Tex managed to get the pipeline to work, but did not overcome the fact that his drain was missing conspicuously. Meanwhile, others manage to secure all but two of the cabinets after grabbing their separate rails (though Tex recommends using a corner grinder instead).
    • Bannisters - All bannister at home should be replaced, but working with contestants will be someone other than their own nominee. Tex, with Jennie, finished after 17 minutes, and Dez, with Marnie, coming soon. Both graduated, and the other three (Casey paired with Tara, Joe with Tiina, and Charmaine with Rita) failed because they did not release the filler strips before placing the bannister onto the wall that Tex and Dez had done.

At the evaluation, the contestants unanimously thought that Joe would be the worst for the third time in a row. Dez is damaged during the evaluation after realizing the error (the table does not have the proper bracing other than the above mentioned errors on the design and positioning). Joe was criticized for not completing the bannister (installing two of the four endorsements with one screw each), but admitted that he had improved considerably since the previous episode after passing the table challenge. Tex has refined his desk, received certain praise, and he also received praise for his board design, though it is still criticized for that position. Experts ruled by Charmaine's work, his desk had sharp edges for not installing a tile table and the head of the bed "distinctly different." Ultimately, Dez was named by Geoff as the worst for not responding to criticism well, while Andrew chose Casey as the worst for not using what he had learned at all. Most awards were given to Tex for his work, while Casey called the worst for the second time. For his punishment, he must read all instructions for products that have been abused.

    Episode 7: Floating

    Genuine update: June 16, 2008

    • Floor Cover - Contestants must install vinyl flooring in the area near their bathroom. Tex, realizing that the floor was a mess, tore up the subfloor before starting, but made the mistake of nailing the wall panel on the floor, and as a result failed. Charmaine also failed because it did not handle the same floor fillings than before. The liberal use of Casey's glue also made her fail. Dez makes the mistake of cutting the vinyl backwards, and fails by itself. Joe, who wipes out his bathroom for not being fully installed, also fails.
    • Carpets - Contestants must install carpets, including base mats and thresholds where carpet fills the vinyl floor. All the contestants are mismeasure (Casey also cuts the tape measure in the process). Dez, Charmaine, and Casey all failed; Dez and Casey from installing their retreat, while Charmaine is frustrated. Joe easily installs without a key, but he is easily overcome with frustration, and admits failure. Meanwhile, Tex, had been delayed by removing the subfloor, inserting a brad nail to secure the vinyl floor and carpet, getting another failure.
    • Security Key - Peephole and security key must be installed. For Tex, it was another delay, because he needed to install a new door after Joe tore his hinges in the previous group challenge. Dez and Joe have also wiped out their doors in previous challenges. Charmaine and Dez both failed to release the screw to their keys, but Charmaine failed as Dez passed their latch. Casey and Joe also hooked their hooks. As for the peephole, Dez and Tex pass, but others fail for damaging the peephole lens with a hammer (for Joe and Charmaine) or a sledgehammer (in Casey's case). Finally, Tex failed to install the door (and thus did not install the buttons at all) after splitting the doorjambs twice while installing it.
    • Group Challenge: Completing Kitchen - Tex leads the group challenge in a long laundry list to finish the kitchen. Dez and Casey finish the closet, Charmaine is assigned to paint the kitchen, while Joe works with Tex foreman to connect the sewer to the line in the basement. However, after five hours of work, including Casey applying silicone on a quarter round board on the kitchen table, a long laundry list still exists.

At the end of the day, the contestants visited the experts' room and asked for their opinion. Although the contestants agree on the fact that it's well built, they have design-related complaints that are more of a personal taste issue. Similarly, the judges fell hard on the contest - Dez even had a blindfold during the evaluation. In the end, Geoff nominated Casey for his defeated attitude, while Andrew named Charmaine for poor workmanship. The best (the first time a person is best named in the second episode from the back) is the question of who is the "worst", given surprisingly to Dez. Casey, who fully expects herself to be called the worst, is surprised to learn that Charmaine is the worst. As a remedial lesson, he was taught how to use clutch settings in his drill.

    Episode 8: Guests Arrive

    Genuine update: June 23, 2008

At the beginning of the last day, the overnight renovation of the lobby was done by the performance crew. Early in the day, the contestants will have 10 hours to complete their room (and last challenge), when it was revealed to the contestants that they would be the first customers to the worst bed and breakfast in Canada, sleeping in their own room.

    • Kitchen Chairs - Each contestant must assemble an IKEA chair for the kitchen. Everyone except Joe finished in less than 40 minutes. Joe's frustration with Rita made her remove Rita from her room, and asked for Charmaine's help, which only served to unload the front foot and put it back. He did not finish on time.
    • Checklist - Contestants must complete each unfinished challenge (13 in total) in the order presented - either with a "check mark" for completion (whether it is done during the original challenge or fixed for duration this challenge) or the cross, which means "unworthy" (either from giving up directly or failing to completely fix the error). Casey started by repairing a leaky shower using a series of tapes, including metal tape and electrical tape, while others wrote it. Joe wrote 11 of his 13 jobs, while Charmaine only completed 4 of 13. Tex finished 9 (including writing from the door), while Casey and Dez wrote only 3 challenges each. In his spare time, Tex also tries to finish the kitchen pipe, which, on completion, he has spent a total of 13 hours - and it's leaking to boot.
    • Group Challenge: Completing Kitchen - The kitchen is designed with a $ 10,000 budget, and fortunately they have completed a kitchen with a limited budget (about $ 9000). Dez leads the group in completing the decor, while allowing time for everyone to complete their own rooms.

At the end of the day, Andrew announces that "the guests have arrived" to contestants and tired candidates. Casey was the first to get the picture, but Charmaine, surprisingly, refused the offer to stay in his own room. The contestants got to know each other that night, having a house party in each and every room. After breakfast the next day, checking the last room, the hammer fell hard in every room - Tex claimed his Pin-Up room was "7.5 out of 10... on the Richter scale". Geoff and Jo were quite offended by the No Mercy Room, while the Serenity Room was criticized for its weak structure (due to holes under the carpet never handled), and the Tropical Paradise Room was criticized primarily for lack of cabinets (Dez had thrown it away, only for Joe to pick it up). As for Casey's room, experts agree that although it is a room that people might find in bed-and-breakfast, the decor, as a whole, serves to hide many mistakes in his room. As for the kitchen, Jo was not impressed with the grout on the counter, while Geoff's main criticism was in the sink and drain, which Tex had disassembled for installation.

Dez is quickly removed because it is not the worst by experts. Casey briefly accepted the consideration because Marnie built what was effective throughout the room, but experts finally agreed that Casey did show enough skills not to be named the worst. Charmaine expects to be named the worst because it solves very little challenge, but he avoids being under two mainly because the experts feel that he is the hardest worker, even if it does not always pay off, and that despite his shortcomings, his room has the best overall design. Geoff makes the case that Joe is the worst (because it solves only two major challenges, and has a bad design in his room), while Tex is nominated by Jo (for his persistent work on the unfruitful pipe, as well as the questionable design and use of time questionable). At the last meeting to determine who will bring home the worst trophy for Canada's Worst Handyman, Dez, Casey, and Charmaine were quickly told to step aside. The similarity between the two is clear, but Joe is finally named the Worst Handyman of Canada as Tex is much more skilled. As his last assignment, he destroyed his own room, before vowing that within a year, he would no longer be the Worst Handyman in Canada.
