Blood Work is a 2002 American mystery thriller produced, directed by, and starring Clint Eastwood. The film stars Jeff Daniels, Wanda De JesÃÆ'ºs, and Anjelica Huston. It's based on a novel of the same name by Michael Connelly.
Eastwood won the Future Digital Film Festival Award at the Venice Film Festival.

Plot
During the murder investigation, FBI agent Terry McCaleb went outside to speak to the media when he saw the killer in the crowd. But the chase ends after McCaleb suffered a heart attack and only managed to hurt the killer.
After retirement, he lives in a houseboat in the bay of Long Beach. He has been given a second chance in life by accepting the heart of a murder victim. She was approached by a woman named Graciella Rivers, whose sister, Gloria, was killed in a robbery and asked her to settle the case. It became personal when McCaleb realized the victim was a woman whose heart was transplanted into him.
McCaleb opposes the advice of his doctor. Bonnie Fox, and decided to look for the killer with the help of his neighbor Buddy Noone, who lives in a house near his home, and a local police detective, Jaye Winston. It was revealed that Buddy was the killer sought by McCaleb. Buddy wants McCaleb out of retirement to become a hero again. He also revealed that he had kidnapped Graciella and his niece, which ended in a shootout on a fishing boat. After shooting Buddy, his last words to McCaleb: I saved you. McCaleb started a new life with Graciella and his nephew.

Reception
Blood Work received mixed criticism from critics. It has a score of 54% on Rotten Tomatoes , with the consensus being that it's "routine, but a competitively crafted thriller is ruined by flagging lethargy". However, AO Scott of The New York Times wrote that although it is similar to many other Eastwood films, "there is something comforting in seeing this old war horse ran out bravely from the gate to another running on familiar grass. "
The film is not a box office success, gross income of $ 26.2 million with a budget of $ 50 million.
