Histori
In October 2001, frequent business travelers Matthew Daimler launched SeatGuru.com. Each seat is color-coded, with green as a "good seat", red being a "poor chair", and yellow being a "conscious" seat, meaning that there is some information you should know about seats (less legroom, etc.). Since then, SeatGuru has grown to more than 700 seatmap aircraft from over 95 different airlines.
In August 2003, SeatGuru.com was established in Seattle, WA, following the launch of the Google AdSense program. The AdSense ad platform helps SeatGuru monetize its website traffic. In March 2007, SeatGuru was purchased by Expedia and then separated by TripAdvisor.
