A vajazzle (also spelled vagazzle ) is a form of genital decoration, formed by the application of crystal ornaments on a shaved pub mons of a woman. This process is known as vajazzling , a portmanteau "vagina" and "bedazzle". This phenomenon was popularized by actress Jennifer Love Hewitt, who devoted a chapter in her book The Day I Shot Cupid for vajazzling. During a promotional interview at the US talk show in January 2010, he encouraged the female members of his audience "for their vajazzle vajayjays". Vajazzle became the most searched term on Google for the following day. In the UK this concept was popularized when beauty expert Amy Childs appeared on The Only Way Is Essex television show in 2010. In 2011, an Internet rating site for vajazzling called Rate My Vajazzle was set up.
Vajazzling may increase the risk of infection if not properly cleaned.
