Hanno Soth (born April 5, 1964) is a German-born Canadian who is a real estate investor and developer well known for developing the luxury villa resort of C151 Bali.

Hanno Soth was born in Bad Bramstedt, Germany's son Elke and Detlef Soth, a lawyer. The family emigrated to Canada and then to the United States, and. Soth studied at the University of Hawaii and received a Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of Ottawa.
In 1995, Soth moved to Bali, Indonesia from Hawaii and formed the Hanno Group, which invests and develops real estate and operates top-class resorts. Soth founded C151 Resorts, a property that caters to wealthy tourists, celebrities, and heads of state.

Career as developer
Soth founded the C151 luxury villa development brand, which continues to gain world recognition with numerous awards. Soth's latest project, C151 Dreamland, won the Bloomberg International Hotel 2011 Award for Best New Hotel Design and Construction. Soth himself won the Pinnacle Award from the World Anti-Aging Academy of Medicine (WAAM) for the resort and his work developed an innovative program that integrates anti aging analysis and care into luxury resorts.
Soth continues to invest, develop, and operate resort projects in Asia through its various companies. Current projects include the development of 11 private islands strategically located near Singapore in Indonesian waters.
Real Estate Investment
Over the past decade and a half, Soth has amassed much of his wealth through investments in Asian real estate. Beginning in 1997, Soth took advantage of the dramatic devaluation in Asian currencies during the Asian Economic Crisis by buying large land at low prices. As the currency stabilizes over the next decade and real estate values ââincrease, Soth shares and develops many of its properties, enabling him and his company to grow.

In March 2006, Soth bought Pt. Letari Kala Media, which publishes The Bali Times, Bali's leading English-language newspaper.
Architecture, Design and Production
Soth founded the Bali Visions Architecture Group (part of the Hanno Group). Among its projects, Bali Visions conceptualizes and designs the development of C151 (including Onelife Plus Anti-Aging Clinic and Bintan Island project), won a government award in 2007 for "The Most Innovative Development."
Construction
In 2000, Soth formed a construction company, Pt. Hanno Bali, part of the Hanno Group. Pt. Hanno Bali received the Citra Insani award from the Indonesian government in 2007, in recognition of the innovation and incorporation of technology in building C151 Smart Villa Resorts.
Hotel Management
Soth's C151 Resorts is a luxury hotel management brand with properties throughout Bali. The C151 has won many awards, including the government's highest award for hotel services in 2011, and Luxury Villa of the Year (for the fourth time) in 2012.
Philanthropy
Soth has become a major contributor of one of the most historic cultural sites in Bali, Pura Luhur Uluwatu. In 1995, after the temple was struck by lightning and badly damaged, Soth financed part of the reconstruction, and has since continued to support its renovation and expansion.
Legal
In 1990, while living in Hawaii, Soth was caught in a long legal battle over his claim to the estate on Carmen C. Herbert's estate. The case involved the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Honolulu and lasted more than 10 years before being finalized by the Supreme Court of Hawaii.
