Ghana Passport Message
Passports of many countries contain messages, nominally from officials responsible for issuing passports (eg, secretary of state, minister of foreign affairs), addressed to authorities in other countries. The message identifies the carrier as a citizen who publishes, requests that he be allowed to enter and pass through another country, and further request that, if necessary, he will be given assistance consistent with international norms. In Ghana passport, the message is in English and reads:
-
- This is to require and require on behalf of the President of the Republic of Ghana all persons who may be interested in allowing the carrier to pass freely without allowing or blocking and paying for any assistance and protection that he may require.
Ghana Passport Fee
A Ghana passport applicant who submits a request directly pays for processing fees. The amount depends on whether the applicant of Ghana passport is applying for a new passport or a replacement passport. The current fee for the new Ghana passport booklet is "GH? 100.00" for express service delivery and "GH? 50.00" for regular service delivery. Gallery

Ghana Passport
To adapt to the recommended standards (ie size, composition, layout, technology) set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the Government of Ghana's Cabinet of Foreign Ministers and Regional Integration has issued only Ghana passports as a standard since March 2010, -the passport is valid until the expiration date or November 2015, whichever is faster.
Under this Ghana passport, three types of passports - contemporary, service, and diplomat - are color coded. Contemporary passports appear in green hunting colors, service passports appear in colored cadets of space, and diplomatic passports appear pink. In addition, the symbol of Ghana has been replaced by the symbol of the West African sub-continent flag ECOWAS and the African continent is clearly emblazoned in the middle of the cover page and the words "Republic of Ghana" is written, the Government of Ghana has chosen to use French and English for its Ghana passport.
Another change with the introduction of Ghana passports is the choice of regular or accelerated passenger delivery services. It is expected that a new Ghana passport will be sent within 3 to 15 days after receipt of the application. Currently, the cost for regular service delivery is "GH? 50.00", and for express service delivery is "GH? 100.00" to get it accelerated.
To facilitate the application and acquisition of Ghana passports, Passport Application Centers (PACs) have been established throughout Ghana. PAC in Accra accept application; PAC in Kumasi accepts applications; PAC at Tamale accepts applications; PAC in Ho accept application; PAC at Sekondi-Takoradi accepts applications; and PAC at Sunyani accept the application.
